I. Organizers

China Association for Field Statistics A national first-class academic society, currently affiliated with the School of Applied Mathematics and Physics, Beijing University of Technology. Professor Guo Jianhua, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Beijing Technology and Business University, serves as the Chairman of the 11th Council. The society has established 14 Professional Committees covering Experimental Design, Medical and Biostatistics, Sampling Surveys, Survival Analysis, Engineering Probability and Statistics, Reliability Engineering, International Standards and Technical Regulations, Multivariate Analysis, Educational Statistics and Management, Meteorological, Hydrological and Geological Statistics, Resource and Environmental Statistics, Construction Statistical Technology, etc., alongside more than 30 provincial and municipal local research associations. It ranks among the well-known academic organizations in China.

II. Competition Schedule

Registration Period: 9:00, July 21, 2026 – 16:00, December 11, 2026

Release of Competition Problems: 18:00, December 11, 2026

Paper Submission Period: 18:00, December 11, 2026 – 20:00, December 15, 2026

Announcement of Results: January 2027 (Note: All timelines are subject to official notifications.)

III. Eligible Participants and Team Formation

Postgraduate students, undergraduates, junior college and vocational college students of all grades and majors from universities nationwide are eligible to participate in corresponding categories of the competition. Each team shall consist of no more than 3 members. Inter-major, inter-faculty and inter-university teams are encouraged.

IV. Competition Format

Each team participating in the Practical Competition must have one faculty advisor to provide pre-competition guidance and organize competition-related work. Participating teams shall complete and submit papers for designated problems within the specified time. The paper evaluation of the Practical Competition will be divided into the Postgraduate Group, Undergraduate Group and Junior College Student Group.

V. Topics Scope

1.CDA Sponsored Track: Statistical Data Analysis Covers data cleaning, statistical analysis and data visualization, as well as time series analysis. Time series analysis includes stationarity test, logarithmic differencing, autocorrelation, partial autocorrelation, white noise test, model order determination, time series forecasting and evaluation.

2.CNKI Sponsored Track: Comprehensive Evaluation Involves comprehensive evaluation methods, evaluation indicators, effect assessment and improvement suggestions, together with application scenarios of comprehensive evaluation. This track focuses on comprehensively considering multiple factors to conduct an all-round assessment of problems or schemes. It includes the construction and interpretation of comprehensive evaluation models, and the adoption of data visualization to communicate evaluation results to relevant stakeholders.

VI. Awards

To ensure the fairness, impartiality and openness of the competition, the organizing committee will invite renowned experts from relevant industries to form an expert panel responsible for setting, reviewing competition problems and conducting evaluations. The competition will set a number of First Prizes, Second Prizes, Third Prizes and Excellence Awards. The specific award ratios are as follows (calculated based on the actual number of participants):

Outstanding Volunteer Award

This award is for participants who actively promote the competition and encourage more peers to take part. Promotion channels include but are not limited to Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, WeChat Moments, student associations, chat groups and other platforms. Volunteer certificates for this event will be awarded based on comprehensive assessment of promotion contributions as recognition. Outstanding Advisor Award

Winners will be selected comprehensively based on the number of students advised to register for the competition and the number of awarded students. The award will be granted to advisors who successfully guide 10 participants to join the competition, or whose students win Third Prize or above. Outstanding Organizer Award

Winners will be selected comprehensively based on the number of students organized to register for the competition and the number of awarded students. The award will be issued to organizations that successfully recruit 30 participants for the competition. Contact information is shown in Section IX: Competition Contact Information.

*Universities, schools, campus press corps and other student associations are eligible to apply for the Outstanding Organizer Award. Certificate samples are displayed below.

VII. Competition Fees

The entry fee for the Practical Competition is RMB 80.00. The fee covers (including but not limited to) overall competition organization, engagement of experts for problem formulation, development of practice question banks, invigilation, manual review of papers, certificate production and express delivery.

Additional Notes: Once a team confirms participation, all team members shall abide by training and competition rules. No refund will be provided for withdrawal from the competition midway.
