Certified Data Analyst (CDA) professional ethics and code of conduct are the professional moral ethics and professional code of conduct formulated for the data science practitioners in various industries based on CDA values (openness, innovation and sharing). Since the 21st century, technological advancements have been driving enterprise reforms. As scientific and technological development has improved our life, a new batch of high-requirement and high-standard professional technical posts are sprouting constantly under the trend of the era, big data (DT) and artificial intelligence (AI). Article I Adhere to the principle of integrity, fairness, respect and job dedication, and treat the public, user, client, employer, colleague and other participant in the industry with the requirements that comply with general citizen quality and professional ethics.
Article II Obey various laws and regulations enacted by the country, government and regulatory body as well as employee system or service specification formulated by the superior organization. Observe laws and disciplines and be self-strict.
Article III Maintain the brand image and reputation of the superior organization and enterprise client as well as the reputation of the data science application field and relevant industries. Be devoted to duty and diligent and protect the organization’s lawful interests.
Article IV Put data property rights, user interests and organization interests above personal interests and protect the security of data assets. Obey the truthfulness and reliability of data. Forbid technical fraud, data fraud, illegal transaction and impairment of user and organization interests.
Article V Sustain and reinforce professional ethics of self and peers. Do not participate in any illegal act, including but not limited to: theft, fraud, corruption, embezzlement or bribery; do not use or abuse the property rights of others, including data assets and intellectual properties; do not participate in slander and insult; do not let off or help others to participate in legal act.
Article I Obey and perform the service regulation and specification of the superior organization. Keep an honest, rigorous and positive professional attitude as well as independent, objective and professional analysis and judgment. Be capable of making planned, evaluated and enforceable report or decision based on the service requirements. See truth from facts, suit action to the word and keep improving.
Article II Keep trade secrets and maintain organization interests. Do not work on second job with conflict of organization interests. Do not be suspected of stealing and selling, leaking, fraud or fraud of professional conduct or act against data analysis; keep the enterprise’s trade secrets, data privacy and intellectual properties.
Article III Protect data assets and respect data property rights. Do not use the property rights of others, retrieve other organization’s data or trade data without permission or commit other illegal act; do not make false data, tamper data or use unrepresentative sample data; do not harm professional reputation for the purpose of certain task or project.
Article IV Professional, Meticulous and Efficient Improvement of Various Service Processes.
(I) Guarantee data legality, timeliness and comprehensiveness. Fully understand service background, trigger point and demand. Make analysis and suggestion. Communicate sufficiently with the team to set rational service indexes and retrieve satisfactory source data.
(II) Keep the advancement, applicability and efficiency of tools and algorithms. Choose rational tools, platforms, systems and algorithms based on service demands to guarantee efficient processing and modeling analysis of data.
(III) Keep updating and optimizing service indexes and data models to make the research findings more explanatory, predictive and feasible.
(IV) Prepare professional visual report, showcase project results with clear logic, and give advice with commercial value.
Article V Respect the intactness of contracts and delivery the results of analysis. Obey contracts, agreements, supplementary notes, task systems and other relevant provisions. Deliver work results on time in good quality, and keep confidential relevant data, codes and results. Do not change specified contents at will, delay or play at work results, or collect other extra fee privately.
Article VI Perform later obligations and responsibilities. Provide client with later answering, consulting, maintenance and other services after complete delivery of result; provide later tracing, optimization and guiding advice, etc. for organization services; be good at self-summary, reflection and improvement.
Article VII Maintain professional and industrial reputation. Conscientiously keep the professionalism of relevant professions and posts. Maintain the reputation of enterprise and industry of organizations and clients. Protect the reputation of CDA certified data analyst certificate. Do not commit any act that harms data-related posts, organizations, industries and CDA brand reputation and integrity; do not misinterpret or exaggerate the denotation or connotation of data science, organization, industry, and CDA certificate.。
Article VIII Pay attention to current affairs for self-improvement. Adhere to the idea of openness, innovation and sharing. Be bold to innovate and advance with the times. Pay attention to the latest research findings and current affairs on data science. Understand the changes and updates of tools and algorithms in different fields as well as the latest products and leading edge applications of the industry, and keep improving the skills of self.
Article IX Shoulder the mission to create and spread. Keep in mind the faith to change the society with data; stick to CDA professional ethics and code of conduct, shoulder the mission to popularize, promote and spread knowledge on data science; be bold to try and err, break through and create, performing the values of data science to all walks around the world.
Article X CDA professional ethics and code of conduct shall be interpreted by CDA certified data analysis research institute and CDA test center, and come into force upon being released.
