I applied for the CDA Level II modeling exam in July this year. I have been engaged in data work for several years. On the one hand, I want to sort out and improve my knowledge in the field of data mining again, and on the other hand, I want to test my ability level through social certification.

I started to prepare for the exam at the end of May, and the whole process took about two months.

In the first month, it is the foundation stage. I guarantee at least 1 hour of study time every day (2-3 hours on weekends), mainly watching videos and reading the knowledge taught by the teacher.

In the sprint stage one month before the exam, I guarantee at least 2 hours of study time every day, mainly doing simulation questions and running the code provided by the teacher in the course.

One week before the exam, prepare the practical code and prepare all the code that may be involved in modeling.

I think the calculation questions in the theoretical exam are difficult. For example, at the beginning, when I calculated the probability of the condition, I didn't understand which one was the condition. Later, I figured it out through repeated simulation questions.

The difficulty of the practical questions is that the time is relatively tight, and it is unrealistic to play the code with bare hands from nothing at the examination site, so prepare the relevant code in advance. In addition, you should keep a good mentality. Even if there is an error, you should relax, calmly look for possible reasons, and don't mess up.

In terms of data, I recommend "Machine Learning Practice: Based on Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow". This book breaks up all aspects of common algorithm theory and modeling, and has a large number of code, which is very practical, which can be said to be a combination of theory and practice. It's a very good book.

Be sure to insist on watching the video. First of all, the teacher explained very well and explained some difficult theories in a superficial way. Secondly, during the exam, the questions on the test paper basically appeared in the teacher's class.

Ensure sufficient review time every day. Many students who are preparing for the CDA exam have already worked. They are very busy at work, so they need to reduce part of the rest and entertainment time appropriately.
